TELEKOM AUSTRIA, the primary phone and internet service provider in Austria launched a search for an appropriate IP Billing System in order to offer new and innovative services and products to customers and to enable billing for them. TELEKOM AUSTRIA wanted to move quickly to implement an end-to-end all IP-based billing system that supported new and emerging services and products. The billing system had to be highly flexible, scaleable and ready for future developments of VoIP, IPVPNs, VoD and xDSL. The system required the capability to manage the entire spectrum of Wholesale Billing, since TELEKOM AUSTRIA provides the IP infrastructure for other ISPs. Another objective was to create a highly competitive billing system in terms of service and maintenance costs. To provide the client with a strategy that would best meet its needs, the Infonova team identified the points of contact and key stakeholders throughout the organization, then developed and executed a project plan and methodology.
