In November 2007 Telekom Austria introduced the first fixed-mobile convergence Triple Play bundle (aonKombipaket), an aggressively priced package of fixed and mobile phone services and broadband internet on the Austrian market with tremendous success. In April 2008 Telekom Austria enhanced the bundle offerings by introducing a compelling Quad Play bundle (aonSuperKombi), a trend setting combination of fixed and mobile phone services, broadband internet and IPTV. End of April the offering was enlarged by mobile broadband data cards as add-on options to traditional fixed line broadband services.

The challenge was to introduce the fixed-mobile convergence for Quad Play offer inside a tight deadline of three months. Telekom Austria wanted to be the first Quad-Player in Austria with an attractive offer of fixed and mobile phone services, broadband internet and IPTV.

BearingPoint was the partner selected to integrate the Triple and Quad Play services - the Triple Play bundle within a challenging 3 month deadline. The decision to partner with BearingPoint was made to use the existing Infonova BSS deployed to support Telekom Austria’s IP and IPTV services.
